Jubilee Celebrations in Wem
Wem Rural Parish Council have been awarded a grant towards costs for the Jubilee Celebrations on Saturday 2nd June in Wem. The event will begin with a parade through the town at around 12 noon, leading to the recreation ground where a 'big picnic' will be held. This will be followed by a programme of events including:
Junior games
'It's a knock out' type games
Music from a variety of groups in the town
Side shows
'Wem's Got Talent' finale
There will also be a joint Act of Worship taking place on the Recreation Ground on Sunday 3rd June.
