How to get involved with your LJC

Local Joint Committees are at their best when a range of councillors, local people and service providers meet and discuss issues that are important to local communities.  By getting involved in the meetings you can help influence decision-making about public services in your local area.  This involves not just council services but also other public sector services, such as the police, the health service and the fire service.

Why not come to an LJC meeting?

To get involved, come along to your next Local Joint Committee meeting - you don’t need an invitation to attend and there is a public question and answer session at each meeting.
The meeting dates on these web pages, and also publicised in the local press and through local newsletters and information points.

Contact your local community action officer

Alternatively you can speak to your local community action officer who will be able to tell you about your local meeting dates and help make sure that any issues you want to discuss are raised at the LJC.

Why not tell us about something that matters to you or your community, or tell us how Shropshire Council might do things better?
