Apply for LJC grant funding

Each LJC has its own budget to spend on priorities identified by the local community.

What can a grant be used for?

This money can be used to support local community and voluntary activity, to implement parish plans and to improve local service delivery, including:

  • Repairs to community buildings
  • Sports and play equipment
  • Heritage projects
  • Arts projects
  • Trips and visits
  • Festivals and community events

We have already awarded grants to a wide range of community groups and projects.

How much could we apply for?

To date, grants have ranged in size from £100 to £14,000.

The amount of money available to each LJC is relative to the number of people living in the area and has been rural-proofed (weighted to take account of the higher cost of delivering services in areas that are more sparsely populated).

In 2011/12 the LJC budgets vary in size from £9,000 to £37,000.

How do I apply?
